Can I install the enclosure plate in either orientation?
Yes — the mounting base includes both threaded holes and countersunk through-holes, allowing for either forward or reverse installation depending on your design requirements.
What type of screws are used for securing the plate?
The enclosure plate uses M4 screws to secure the clamp blocks to the Arca-Swiss rail. Ensure proper tightening to maintain stability.
Is the enclosure plate compatible with all Blu-Sub aluminum tubes?
Yes — both the wide and narrow versions of the enclosure plate are compatible across the entire Blu-Sub SubSea Aluminum Tube range.
Are the clamp blocks and screws included?
Yes — each enclosure plate includes the required clamp blocks and screws for installation. The narrow version includes one long screw; the wide version includes two.
Can I use this plate with third-party Arca-Swiss rails?
While the enclosure plate is designed for Blu-Sub systems, it may be compatible with standard Arca-Swiss rails. However, proper fit and function cannot be guaranteed outside Blu-Sub components.
What is the difference between forward and reverse installation?
Forward installation refers to screws passing through the plate and fastening onto the mounting base, while reverse installation refers to screws passing through the mounting base and fastening onto the plate.
What are the 2×M3 holes for?
These two holes are for securing the quick-release plate of the Arca-Swiss interface and may not be necessary in all applications.
Do all the mounting holes need to be fastened?
No — you can use mounting holes as needed, such as 4× M4 screws or 4× M3 screws, depending on your design and strength requirements.
Is threadlocker needed?
Threadlocker is recommended in high-vibration environments or when frequent disassembly is not expected, to ensure long-term fastening security.
