PCB Board Shelves are precision-cut, electrically insulated platforms designed to support internal electronics within Blu-Sub enclosures. These green, double-sided PCB panels serve not only as stable mounting surfaces for components but also as visual layout guides, featuring pre-marked point holes to simplify drilling and cable routing.
PCB Board Shelves must be paired with enclosure tubes of the corresponding diameter. For example, an 85 mm PCB shelf is designed specifically for use with 85 mm diameter Blu-Sub acrylic or aluminum tubes and is not compatible with larger sizes such as 115 mm. Using mismatched diameters will result in improper fit or instability. While the shelf’s diameter must match the tube’s inner diameter, the length of the PCB shelf may be equal to or shorter than the internal length of the corresponding tube and shelf support system (either single-point or double-point). However, the shelf length must not exceed the usable internal space of the enclosure and supporting structure.
Each shelf includes mounting screws and is compatible with both Enclosure Tray Shelf Support (Single-Point) and double-point support systems, which are sold separately. These supports attach to internal base mounts and hold the shelf in place, ensuring mechanical stability during operation and transport.
For a complete internal mounting solution, including base mounts and shelf supports, refer to the full Electronic Tray Set for Enclosure Tube.

Enclosure Tray Shelf Support (Single-Point)
Compact, single-screw supports that securely hold the PCB Board Shelf inside Blu-Sub enclosures. Ideal for space-limited builds or flexible internal layouts, these supports allow the shelf to be mounted at various heights and orientations based on project requirements.

What versions of the electronics tray are available?
Three tray sizes are available: 85 mm, 115 mm, and 165 mm. Each size is designed to fit corresponding Blu-Sub aluminum or acrylic tube enclosures.
What is the difference between double-point and single-point shelf supports?
Double-point shelf supports have two screw connections at each end (into each base mount), providing a more rigid and robust structure—ideal for heavier or centrally mounted components. Single-point supports use one screw at each end, offering a more compact design better suited for lighter components or tighter enclosures.
What do single-point and double-point mean?
This refers to the number of screw connections per end of each shelf support. Single-point supports use one screw per base mount, while double-point supports use two screws per base mount, increasing rigidity.
Is it necessary to use a double-point shelf support?
Yes, in most cases. Without a double-point shelf support, alternate methods such as copper posts or bracket kits must be used to prevent tray rotation inside parallelogram enclosures.
Is the tray compatible with both acrylic and aluminum tubes?
Yes — the tray assembly is fully compatible with both Blu-Sub aluminum and acrylic enclosures and is designed to slot securely into either type.
Can I mount PCBs directly to the shelf supports?
Yes — PCB boards can be mounted directly to the shelf supports (double and single) using the pre-marked holes or by drilling additional mounting points as needed.
Can the cold-rolled steel tray components be affected by magnets?
Yes — cold-rolled steel is magnetic and may be attracted to magnets.
What are the four threaded holes on the base mount used for?
These mounting threads can be used to install accessories such as cameras or circuit boards. On 85 mm enclosures, internal space is limited, but these threads offer flexibility. The 115 mm and 165 mm models offer more usable top-mount space for wiring or device installation.
Will the tray loosen over time due to vibration?
To prevent loosening from long-term vibration, it is recommended to apply thread adhesive to all screws during installation.
