Each Electronic Tray Set for Enclosure Tube is purpose-built to streamline the internal arrangement of PCBs, batteries, and other electronics within underwater enclosures.
The tray base and side rails are made entirely from painted cold-rolled steel, providing a durable, corrosion-resistant structure with a gray finish or other color options depending on the set size. The assembled tray assembly is designed to fit securely inside Blu-Sub enclosures—compatible with both the Subsea Enclosure Aluminum Tube and the Subsea Enclosure Acrylic Tube.
Tray assembly length vs. tube length:
Because the enclosure tray base mount only needs to be fixed to one flange end, the tray assembly does not need to span the full length of the tube. Shorter tray assemblies can be used effectively, provided the tray diameter matches the enclosure diameter. For example, an 85 mm tray assembly is designed exclusively for 85 mm tubes and cannot be used in 115 mm or 165 mm enclosures. While the tray’s diameter must match the tube, its length may be equal to or shorter than the internal length of the enclosure, but must not exceed the usable space of the tube and flange support system.
Please note:
Minor deformation of sheet metal components during shipping is normal. These parts will return to their intended shape once properly installed inside the enclosure.
Each tray set includes a number of shelf supports, available in two types: single-point and double-point contact.
These terms refer to how many screws connect each end of the shelf support to the base mounts. The quantity and type of supports included vary by tray size (see the shipping guide for details). Shelf supports can be positioned and arranged differently depending on your specific mounting and layout needs. Insulated PCB Board Shelf for Enclosure Tube is not included.

Double-point contact supports use two screw connections at each end—that is, two screws into each base mount. These supports are physically larger and more robust, offering increased rigidity and stability. They are ideal for supporting heavier components or centrally mounted elements where structural strength is essential.
Single-point contact supports use one screw at each end—one into each base mount—and feature a more compact, lightweight design. This configuration helps conserve space within the enclosure and allows for modular, flexible layouts, especially when working around bulkier components.
Both double-point and single-point shelf supports are fully compatible with Insulated PCB Board Shelf for Enclosure Tube, allowing you to tailor the internal setup of your enclosure based on load requirements and available space.
If needed, extra single-point shelf supports can be purchased separately using the button below.

Subsea Enclosure Aluminum Tube
Rugged 115 mm pressure-rated housing for deep-sea use. The tray set is available in this size and fits securely inside the tube, offering a depth rating of 1,000 m / 3,281 ft and passive thermal conduction to help manage internal heat from electronics.
Subsea Enclosure Acrylic Tube
Lightweight, optically clear tube compatible with tray sets for organizing electronics in compact, vision-enabled subsea systems.

Electronic Tray Set for Enclosure Tube
When used with the Subsea Aluminum Flange, Subsea Optical Glass Flange & End-Cap, or Subsea Polymer Flange & End-Cap, the base mount attaches directly to the flange using screws—ensuring stable and precise support for internal components. Compatible with both acrylic and aluminum tubes, the tray system enables efficient internal layout of subsea electronics. All Electronic Tray Set for Enclosure Tube installations only require mounting into the screw hole of the flange at one end of the tube.

All Electronic Tray Set for Enclosure Tube installations only require mounting into the screw hole of the flange at one end of the tube.
Use a PH1 Phillips screwdriver for flat head side screws to prevent stripping the head.

What versions of the tray assembly are available?
Three tray sizes are available: 85 mm, 115 mm, and 165 mm. Each size is designed to fit corresponding Blu-Sub aluminum or acrylic tube enclosures.
Does the tray assembly need to match the full length of the enclosure tube?
No. Because the tray base mount only needs to be fixed to one flange end, the tray assembly does not need to span the entire internal length of the tube. Shorter tray assemblies can be used effectively as long as the tray diameter matches the tube diameter. For example, an 85 mm tray assembly is designed exclusively for 85 mm tubes and cannot be used in 115 mm or 165 mm enclosures. While the diameter must match, the length may be equal to or shorter than the enclosure’s internal length, but must not exceed the usable space of the tube and flange support system.
What is the difference between double-point and single-point shelf supports?
Double-point shelf supports have two screw connections at each end (into each base mount), providing a more rigid and robust structure—ideal for heavier or centrally mounted components. Single-point supports use one screw at each end, offering a more compact design better suited for lighter components or tighter enclosures.
What do single-point and double-point mean?
This refers to the number of screw connections per end of each shelf support. Single-point supports use one screw per base mount, while double-point supports use two screws per base mount, increasing rigidity.
Is it necessary to use a double-point shelf support?
Yes, in most cases. Without a double-point shelf support, alternate methods such as copper posts or bracket kits must be used to prevent tray rotation inside parallelogram enclosures.
Is the tray assembly compatible with both acrylic and aluminum tubes?
Yes — the tray assembly is fully compatible with both Blu-Sub aluminum and acrylic enclosures and is designed to slot securely into either type.
Can I mount PCBs directly to the shelf supports?
Yes — PCB boards can be mounted directly to the shelf supports (double and single) using the pre-marked holes or by drilling additional mounting points as needed.
Can the cold-rolled steel tray components be affected by magnets?
Yes — cold-rolled steel is magnetic and may be attracted to magnets.
What are the four threaded holes on the base mount used for?
These mounting threads can be used to install accessories such as cameras or circuit boards. On 85 mm enclosures, internal space is limited, but these threads offer flexibility. The 115 mm and 165 mm models offer more usable top-mount space for wiring or device installation.
Will the tray assembly loosen over time due to vibration?
To prevent loosening from long-term vibration, it is recommended to apply thread adhesive to all screws during installation.
